Google picks Finland for its largest single investment in Europe — comic strip

The script

Panel 1

Sam (sarcastically) Alex (excitedly) Robin (rolling eyes)

Robot: Google is investing 250 million euros in a new AI center in Finland!

Sam: Great, now I have to keep my car in a garage.

Alex: Google, the future is in AI! And we're in the best spot in Europe for that, Sam. Think of all the tech jobs we'll get!

Robin: And if I can get my AI to figure out where all the parking spots are...

Panel 2

Sam (skeptically) Alex (optimistically) Robin (shaking his head)

Robot: Google will invest in Finland, a country known for its cold winters and even colder winters in some regions.

Sam: That's not going to change. It's still cold in Finland.

Alex: But imagine if we could map out all the warm spots and cold spots across the whole country! Think of the apps we can make!

Robin: And think of all the AI we can make for optimizing cold weather conditions in those frigid parts of Finland.

Panel 3

Sam (nodding) Alex (smiling) Robin (sighing)

Robot: Google's investment in Finland could make it the biggest tech hub in Europe, thanks to the country's unique climate challenges.

Sam: And think of all the tech challenges Finland could solve with AI. Like, if it can figure out how to keep itself warm.

Alex: Or if it can find the best spots to park in all those underground garages. The possibilities are endless!

Robin: But if it can't find the best spots for parking, it might just be stuck with those underground garages... again.
