ClickFix attacks infecting PCs and Macs are going viral
The script
Panel 1
Alex (excitedly) Sam (skeptical) Alex (grinning) Robin (from the background, laughing)
Alex: Look, Sam! I’ve built a new app that fixes computers with just a few taps!
Sam: Alex, you always think you’ve got something revolutionary. What’s this new “ClickFix”?
Alex: It’s simplicity! Tap, fix, done. No more complicated tech speak.
Robin: But you can’t even turn off your lights, Alex.
Panel 2
Sam (rolling his eyes) Alex (laughing) Robin (laughing)
Sam: You know, Alex, if this works, you might have to explain how it works to your parents too.
Alex: Oh, come on, Sam! Parents are so easy. I just need to show them the app icon and they’ll know what to do.
Robin: Or maybe they just need a crash course on tech, like when I accidentally turned their fridge into a robot.
Panel 3
Alex (confused) Sam (shrugs) Robin (sighs)
Alex: But why the viral spread, Sam? Everyone wants their computers fixed this way!
Sam: Because it’s the simplest way to do something complicated. And everyone’s always clicking, even when they’re supposed to be paying attention.
Robin: And now we’ve got a whole internet of parents who click everything, expecting it to work. We’re all in this together now.
